RenderSlave is a revolution in productivity, bringing multiple render machines online to crunch through endless effects shots. With the press of a single button and Fusion’s network rendering, the workload can be distributed over any number of machines where artists can automatically share the same RenderSlave network.

RenderSlave proved its power in 2001, with Frantic Films incredible 6K shots of Swordfish, all rendered using RenderSlave.

Threshold Entertainment recently commented that It was, “...awesome to experience a RenderSlave farm crunch through 2k film comps like it was low rez multimedia."

Countless users can send comps of every format possible to the queue for rendering, as the network can render all different bit depth and image formats. RenderSlave also supports all of the tools, features, animation and plug-in options available for the full version of Fusion.

“We own a few RenderSlaves, and as far I as know, eyeon is the first company to truly offer a robust and transparent network rendering compositing solution. Other users on the network may even submit comps directly from the node (very useful if other copies of Fusion are being used). Since the nodes have no user interface, it makes the legendary speed of Fusion go even faster!! Okay, Fusion MIGHT not be the first compositing software to have network rendering, but to my knowledge, they are the first to DO IT RIGHT.”

Power Cluster Rendering
· With Fusion 5’s new Power Cluster, you can efficiently network multiple machines into a superior working environment. By clustering the network render farm, the network continuously renders the sequence up to date.

Infinitely Scalable
· Render Fusion comps on an unlimited number of workstations using the RenderSlave.

Master and Slave On One System
· A network master can simultaneously act as a RenderSlave, sending jobs to itself and receiving them from other masters.

Render Management
· Powerful render manager with redesigned interface for maximum efficiency.
· Enable and disable nodes from the render master for each queue.
· Fusion comps can be set to 64+ bit render.

Logging
· Choose from basic or verbose logging modes. Perfect for determining billing costs for render jobs and troubleshooting network problems.

Flexible Render Ranges
· Select the range of frames to be rendered for each flow in the queue, without the need to modify or open the saved flow.

Local and Network Modes
· Set any node to accept comps from the network or set the node to render its own queue locally.

Robust Failure Management
· Rendering masters will automatically detect when a node has gone offline or has stopped responding to any commands, and will gracefully take the affected node out of the queue.
· Frames previously assigned to that node but marked as incomplete will be reassigned to other nodes. User configurable timeouts can be used to detect nodes that are still functioning but have failed to complete a given frame within a reasonable length of time.

Node Scanner
· The render master can scan and display the status of each configured node on the network and automatically set the queue to render only on systems currently running an active node. Offline nodes that are assigned a job will automatically pick up the next flow in the queue once they come online.

Multiprocessor Support
· Each RenderSlave employs the same degree of multi-threading as the full version of Fusion, which means that all of the system’s power is available all of the time. (No extra charge per CPU either.)

Multiple Render Masters
· Several render masters can be set up on the same network, allowing users to configure pools of nodes dedicated to specific tasks. Any copy of Fusion or RenderSlave can submit frames to any of the render masters. Fusion RenderSlave is a standalone rendering engine used for distributed network rendering.
